Creating an Enduring Legacy in Partners

What is the Mozambique Assembly

The Mozambique Assembly took place 12 – 13 March 2018, organised in association with the Government of Mozambique, ENH, INP and ENP, the Mozambique Assembly platform followed the much hailed 2014 National Workshop Summitand focused on investment and national skills development in the region.

The Mozambique Assembly was the region’s premier national event, gathering policy makers, NOC and IOCs as well as the most influential players from across the finance and investment industries.

The Mozambique Assembly is curated by the Energy Council – the world’s most influential network for senior executives in energy. Under the theme “Creating an Enduring Legacy in Partnership”, the Assembly provided an exclusive destination for forming essential relationships with the chief decision makers among government, industry and local institutions.

Supported by international stakeholders as well as key domestic players, we welcomed those organisations operating, as well as deploying capital in the country to showcase the unique opportunity Mozambique offers.

Creating an Enduring Legacy in Partnership

Supporting long-term, responsible deployment of capital for infrastructure and economic transformation is the central theme of the Assembly. We aim to create dialogue and actionable insight through delivering on two overriding aims.

  • To support the sustainable, localised development of Mozambique’s energy industry through supporting the development of local skills and supply chains and facilitating partnerships between Government, the oil and gas industry, local suppliers, national and international education & training institutions, together with Getenergy’s global network of senior government, industry and education representatives.

  • To bring together government and all levels of oil & gas operators as well as local and international financiers and investors, designed especially for senior attendees to meet potential business partners and investment prospects and identify emerging corporate development opportunities.

Our African Legacy

The Oil and Gas Council was founded in Africa. We have built over a decade of business experience in Sub-Saharan Africa, and have built trusted relationships with key government officials and leading regional and serve more than 4000 members in more than 800 African companies. No other international network has the level of depth and local knowledge than the Council in Africa.

For Mozambique, we see no better time to hold the Mozambique Assembly as the onshore, Rovuma Basin and gas development projects advance with speed. Together, the immediate need to develop a skilled Mozambican workforce and supply chain, as well as secure the finance and investment necessary to ensure Mozambique’s National Development Strategy is delivered is a requisite we are uniquely positioned to help deliver.

The company is a Level 2 BBBEE Contributor in South Africa.
